Waldgeist XXXXXL Restaurant

Last night we went to this fabulous schnitzel place. The portions are XXXXXXXL. No kidding they are so HUGE! The sodas are served in 1/2 liter, liter and 2 liter portions. Di told me that the margarita (which is 60 Euros) is served in a bucket, it is so large. It was incredible. We had a good time and everyone went home with a full belly.

You can't see me...

You can't see me

I can see you but you can't see me

still hiding

bet you can't find me.

Our funny, little, neurotic cat likes to hide in the curtains. Whenever someone stops by she likes to run and hide. Sometimes, she runs upstairs and hides in the boys' room, sometimes she goes under our bed and sometimes she hides in plain sight. I don't think she realizes that we can see her when she hides behind the curtain. Many times she will go behind the curtain and then walk forward and sit down. If you look at the last 2 pictures you can see how far away from the wall she actually is. Now, if she had stayed under the radiator with the curtain flush against the wall then she would be more difficult to detect. But no, she steps forward a good 18 inches from the wall and then sits. Silly kitty.

PS. if you look closely you can see her bare tummy. She had to have an ultrasound and as a result they shaved her stomach. The hair is taking a long time to grow out. At least the weather is warming up so she shouldn't be too cold.

MaMa Mia - Its'a beauty!

Alberto and his lovely wife with our amazing new table.

So after waiting for nearly 6 months we received our beautiful hand crafted Italian table. Our friend Alberto, the artist of this beautiful piece of furniture, and his wife delivered the table this morning. Oh my goodness, it is beautiful. Alberto is an artist with wood. He also makes his furniture so smartly, enabling it to be taken apart for ease of moving. Not only that but our table which seats four can also seat 8. The table starts out as a square but when you unlock the top and rotate it, the middle drops and you can the pull out 4 leaves making an octogon with seating for 8. Quite clever if you ask me. The center of our table has a large piece of Venician granite. It is so striking and complements the wood perfectly. We also had him make 4 chairs for us. Traditional wood design with leather seats. Alberto told us today that when our chairs arrived other customers liked them so much that he has had to make 20 more. The chairs are gorgeous and oh so comfortable. This was our "Christmas present" to each other. Definitely worth the wait. The new table and Alberto and his wife.
