Guess we had too much time on our hands while waiting for our meal to be served...

Dangerous Walks...

Chesnuts hanging over head
Slipping out of open shells
Making a mess all over the ground.
Coming rushing down through the leaves...
Narrowly missing hitting your head ...

Yes, walking can be dangerous when walking under chestnut trees.

Crazy cat?

Tesla sleeping on Caleb

Tesla realizes I am taking photos

Now she runs for her life...

Crazy cat...

Ranoba ???? or Rogu?

Either way Reagan is wild and crazy friend of the boys. They had a good time chatting and laughing with Reagan. These photos were taken on their last day in Vicenza. Caleb has already invited Reagan and her family to stay with us for Thanksgiving.

Gotta love

FRIENDS who come by even when things are topsy turvy and CHAOTIC.

Our wonderful, lovely friends Jeremy and Rebecca came over to when the packers where there to pack us out. They sat with us and chatted while we watched the packers work. They even came over and sat with me after we had our break-in so that James could go to base and make the police report. He didn't want to leave me alone with 4 men that I didn't know.

Though I have only known them for about 18 months I know that they are life-long friends. Love you guys!

Special guests

Vicenza's new middle school had important guests coming for a visit and the school asked the kids to dress up. Jared decided he wanted to wear a tie. So James had to teach him how to tie a tie. Since Jared doesn't own any ties he wore one of James'.

Mission Impossible???

First day of school, September 2, 2010.

Caleb started as a sophmore in high school at Vicenza High School while Jared is in 7th grade at Vicenza Middle School.

I got a photo of the guys being crazy as we get ready to jump in the car and head to school.
Can you believe how tall they have gotten? I think Caleb is going to be taller than both James and me. Amazing.
Caleb is objecting to leaving for school here (just kidding).

They will spend about 3 weeks in school here before we head to Heidelberg Germany. Based on the schools' curriculums though it looks as if the Heidelberg schools have more academic classes to offer the boys. This is quite pleasing to us - with their academic prowess we need to have some advanced classes for them to take.

And this year Jared is in band. He chose the flute for his instrument. He will get a little practice in before we head to Germany. Hopefully, the band program there will have an instrument for him.

James and I do have to head to the Middle School on Tuesday because Jared didn't get put into the Pre-Algebra class he wanted. And he got put into Dimensional Art instead of PE. Jared just loves Coach T, the PE teacher and was really disappointed when he found out he had Art instead. That and he asked me how he was going to stay in shape if he didn't have PE to get his exercise in. "Mom, I will have homework and all kinds of things to do. I won't have time to exercise if I don't have my PE class." Funny boy!

I am sorry I haven't posted in so long. I will definitely keep you up to date a little better especially regarding our move. Post more about that later.

Ciao for now! Soon to be tschuss!
